1/5/2008 - FIRST ENERGY/METROPOLITIAN EDISION AWARDS CONTRACT TO RICHARDSON-WAYLAND ELECTRICAL COMPANY

Richardson-Wayland Electrical Company continues to spread its northeastern footprint by being awarded a contract by First Energy/Metropolitan Edison. Richardson-Wayland will be upgrading 7 miles of 3 phase single circuit transmission line replacing multiple structures and re-conductoring the existing line just north of Gettysburg, Pa. The line extends across acres of farmland existing wetlands as Phase 1 of this project will begin on 1/21/2007. Estimated completion date is May 2, 2008.

1/1/2008 - RICHARDSON-WAYLAND ELECTRICAL COMPANY TRANSMISSION DEPARTMENT ESTABLISHES AN INJURY FREE YEAR IN 2007

RWEC’s transmission department lead by Superintendent Sonny Kimble, Foreman Scotty Varney, Dave Sams, and Mike Greene holds the department to an injury free year in 2007. The crews performed flawlessly by brazing the harsh elements and working in one of the most dangerous departments of RWEC while completing 2007 with out a single recordable injury. The employees will be rewarded for their hard work and dedication to RWEC. Thanks Again!! RWEC-Safety
